CETA to be rushed through EU summit

The meeting of EU trade ministers on 23 September agreed to push through the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) between the EU and Canada at the next EU summit in October.
While the agreement will still need to be ratified by member-states, there is a real fear that important elements of it will be passed provisionally at this meeting. These provisional elements would then take effect straight away. The framers of CETA are using this provisional provision to introduce worrying aspects of CETA into EU and national legislation without requiring ratification by national parliaments.
It is important to stop this tactic. Contact your local MEP and demand that they reject this attempt to inflict CETA upon the working people of Europe.
