Fidel is getting better!

One of the most asked questions among communists and other progressive people the world over has been “How is Fidel Castro’s health?” in recent weeks.
     Since nobody trusted the contradictory stories from the various bourgeois media, the words of Cuba’s minister of foreign affairs, Felipe Pérez Roque, came like a huge relief last Friday. Speaking in Panamá, Pérez said: “He is getting noticeably better, and we are now optimistic about him coming back to work. He will do that when the time is right for it.”
     Asked about the possibility of Fidel Castro returning as Cuba’s president, the minister said: “If he returns, that seems certainly to be the case.”
     In the meantime, “Get well soon” wishes from all over the world are being sent to Fidel Castro. The Berlin daily Junge Welt published pictures last week which showed him quite fit-looking, and, of course, speaking to a big crowd of people.
