Party programme  The revised programme of the CPI, adopted by the 23rd National Congress (November 2006), is now available in booklet form, price €3.50 (£2.50). The basic text can also be read here.         
    Books and pamphlets  Public Transport: Keep It Public or Lose It to Private Profit (2004) has been an important contribution to the campaign to protect public services. Other publications include Communist Party of Ireland: Outline History (1975) and Forógra Pháirtí na gCumannach (1986), the Irish translation of The Manifesto of the Communist Party by Marx and Engels.

Works of James Connolly  Over the years the CPI has kept in print the principal writings of the Irish Marxist pioneer James Connolly, including the classic Labour in Irish History (1910) and more recently a two-volume Collected Works (1987).

Periodicals  The periodicals published by the party are Socialist Voice (Dublin, monthly) and Unity (Belfast, weekly).
